Easter Egg Index:
Debut Era – “Glendale”— Glendale, Arizona is where the Eras Tour first opened. We’re connecting the debut night of the Eras Tour with the Taylor’s debut album.
Fearless Era – “First Day of School” — In her song, Fifteen, Taylor sings, “You take a deep breath and you walk through the doors it's the morning of your very first day.” in reference to her first day of high school.
Speak Now Era – “Romantic Ballad” — Alluding to “Enchanted”, one of Taylor’s most beloved romantic ballads and the only representation of this era during the concert.
Red Era – “Lipstick” — This era was defined by Taylor’s use of red lipstick, which is also communicated in songs like The Moment I Knew (“And it was like slow motion standing there in my party dress in red lipstick with no one to impress.”)
1989 Era – “Faded Into Hue” — In addition to referencing 1989’s faded polaroid aesthetic, this paint name indirectly references the song Style (“Fade into view, oh, It's been a while since I have even heard from you”)
Reputation Era – “Little Black Number” — Alluding to the mysterious and rebellious spirit of this album found on tracks like “I Did Something Bad” and “Look What You Made Me Do”
Lover Era – “Butterfly Kisses” — Lover replaced Reputation’s snake iconography with butterfly iconography. The album launched with a massive butterfly mural in Nashville, and the first music video, “Me!” opened with a flock of butterflies.
Folklore Era – “Shady Affair” — Alluding to the song, “Illicit Affairs”.
Evermore Era – “Gold Season” — Alluding to two tracks: “Gold Rush” and a fan favourite, “Tis the Damn Season”
Midnights Era – “Star-Studded” — Alluding to the song, “Bejewelled”
The Tortured Poets Department Era – “London Fog” — Alluding to a fan favourite, “So Long, London”
We then handed out free concert t-shirts that mimicked the official The Eras Tour merch for fans in Toronto and Vancouver.
BeautiTone: The Eras Tones
Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has a distinct iconography where each of her eras is assigned a specific color. So when the artist made her way to Canada in the fall of 2024, BeautiTone, a 100% Canadian paint, decided to welcome her by heroizing its colors as “eras” and connecting with Swifties in a way no other brand could. We took existing BeautiTone paint colors and their corresponding names, and mapped them to lyrics or moments from each era, speaking in a language die-hard fans know all too well – easter eggs!
